Meet the FMS Counseling Department

Dana Santos (M-Z)
1992 AA City College of San Francisco
1995 BS Cal State University Hayward
2004 MS Eastern Washington University
I am also the ASB advisor/Activities coordinator or what people like to call Frontier’s “cruise director”. We work hard, but we also play hard. Leadership, culture, climate, relationship building are what we focus on along with student growth and achievement. My motto: “If we have to be here together we may as well have some fun!”
Being born in San Francisco I am an avid 49er, Giants & Warriors fan. I love traveling, spending time with my family and friends and of course finding engaging, new, and fun activities for our Frontier community!

Karli Skjervold
School Counselor Intern
2016 BS Boise State University
My name is Karli Skjervold and I have been a licensed counselor in the state of Washington working with substance use disorders since 2016. After transitioning to working with youth for a few months, and loving it, I made the decision to pursue school counseling. I am so excited to intern at Frontier Middle School while working on my Masters in School Counseling from Adams State University.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the lake, traveling, and spending time with family and friends!

I have been with MLSD for 16 years. I have worked in several buildings across the District. The relationships I have formed over the years are priceless. My high school sweetheart and I have been married for 37 years. We met here at MLHS! Go Chiefs!
We have two sons, a daughter, 9 (almost 10) grandchildren (5 girls, 5 boys) and 3 dogs. We love to travel. One summer, we covered 5000 miles and 13 states. One thing most people don't know is that I was raised riding and showing horses. I rode both English Equitation and Western Saddle.
